Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BrowserDNA handles information when you visit the website, run a browser tool, request an AI analysis, or send a message through the contact form.

Information We May Process

We may process technical information such as IP address, browser user agent, accept-language header, page path, timestamps, request action, request status, tool slug, and limited request metadata. If you use the contact form, we may store your name, email address, subject, message, IP address, browser user agent, and submission time.

Browser Tool Results

Many BrowserDNA checks run locally in your browser using normal web APIs. The visible table may include user agent details, screen size, timezone, storage support, WebGL information, client hints, permission states, network hints, and other browser signals. These values are shown to you so you can understand the current browser environment.

AI Analysis

If you click Analyze with AI, the diagnostic rows shown by the tool may be sent to our server and then to an Azure OpenAI deployment to generate a plain-language report. Do not submit private, confidential, or sensitive information in custom fields or diagnostic notes.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide the website, run browser diagnostics, generate AI explanations, apply fair-use limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, respond to contact messages, maintain security, and improve reliability.

Cookies and Sessions

BrowserDNA may use cookies or similar technologies for sessions, CSRF protection, security checks, analytics or measurement if enabled, advertising if enabled, and ordinary website operation. See the Cookie Policy for more detail.

Third-Party Services

The site may use third-party services for hosting, database operation, email delivery, spam or abuse protection, analytics, advertising, and Azure OpenAI-powered analysis. These services may process data needed to provide their function.

Advertising and Analytics

If advertising or analytics products are enabled, partners may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies and user controls. BrowserDNA does not sell user accounts or personal dashboards.

Retention

Technical logs and contact messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and communication. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of record.

Your Choices

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, avoid AI analysis if you do not want diagnostic rows sent for explanation, and contact us to request review or deletion of contact form messages associated with your email address where applicable.

Children

BrowserDNA is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the website changes. The latest version will be posted on this page.
